Mimoi joins Gallup Little League!

Tee ball or t-ball is like baseball for kids ages 3-4 and 5-6.

According to Wikipedia, in t-ball, the pitcher is usually used for defensive purposes only. The ball is placed on an adjustable tee atop (see photo below) the home plate at a suitable height for the batter to strike. Score is not kept and rules are designed to maximize participation: an inning is completed once each child has had a turn at bat and all extra players of the defensive team play in the outfield every inning.

To encourage the defensive team to try to make plays, there are typically no extra bases on overthrows and runners may not advance after the ball is in possession of an infielder.

Mimoi's first Tee ball experience!

Last April 29, 2012 the Tee ball Opening Day Ceremonies was held at the Ford Canyon Park, Mickey Mantle Field, Gallup, New Mexico.

It was well attended, parents were busy taking pictures and videos, kids were all in uniform, excited and had the time of their lives!

You know I had a friend in college who lived in New Mexico...I think she even went to a HS in Gallup. Her name is Lucille Patience Vidal. Maybe you can find her for me? She was a rotex student here Bacolod in 1972 or 73...
