Holding Hands

I remember years of going home late from school after teaching evening classes, I would always end up walking from the gate of the subdivision where we live to our house! 
It was a long walk, dark, and I was always on my own! What kept me safe, sound and secured the whole time was Jesus!
As soon as I stepped down from the jeepney (popular means of transportation in the Philippines), I would say my prayer! It was really more like a-friend-talking-to-a-friend-kind-of-communication. 
In my mind, I would say, "Jesus... here I am again! please hold my hand and let's walk together!" and I know he would do just that!
It was a good 10 minute walk and I felt his hands wrapped around my hands the whole time!
Thank you Jesus for every time I call your Name, You are there!
Thank you for the many times you have held my hand, while we were walking in the dark, you have kept me safe and secured. I felt so loved.
Up until now, You are still with me, and I know You will be until the end of time.
Amen.

    Amen! I do the same too. I talk to God like he is just beside me.I laugh ,I cry, i talk to him in different mood and mostly to keep me and my family safe.

    Amen to this full trust with the Lord Jesus Christ you've made. Everybody in Jesus is safe. With His hands everyone is held to their safety and assurance of being protected from any subtle craftiness of the devil. It's time to thank the Lord Jesus Christ.

    I would often imagine groping Jesus' hands whenever I feel lost and vulnerable and oftentimes, I would realize that he was holding me all along, I was so wrapped up in my problems that I missed his presence.

    and I love the Lord so much, with all my life, that's why I decided to dedicate a part of my life through service and following his footsteps as well (not of the nailing on the cross) but a path to holiness

I feel like I am currently in a "bridge". My life hanging at the moment. My life on hold. I was supposed to continue on with my next 30 day challenge - and I still do, I still TRY to eat less, I still TRY not to eat AFTER 6. It’s actually scary sometimes, because, our dreams are not impossible but could really come true!!!  It is just a matter of focusing our thoughts and acting on it and it will happen! A very simple rule, and yet we seem to always have our excuse! You know what the truth is? The truth is, we know it is not impossible, we are simply lazy. So we make our long list of excuses! Right? - It is more convenient for us to watch TV all day than start working on that project that we have long been thinking of. - It is more fun to talk about another person’s marriage failure and problems than to start looking at our own and doing something about it. - It is more easy and simple to live day in and day out asking for support from parents and relatives than to start our own living. We are so good at making excuses that we are even able to make others...

A Dream Come True!

I kissed my kids goodbye.  They were sleeping when I left them... Funny, it happened like five years ago and yet just thinking about not knowing what happened the day they woke up without me by their side, just makes me teary-eyed. Later, I asked Mymy, our eldest, what happened that day, she didn't answer she just cried - remembering!  She was 5 years old then, while Mimoi, one year old.  Kids on Skype 2007   Thanks to Facebook for photos, Skype and Yahoo Messenger for video calls... But still, the truth was, I missed a year of their lives. Nothing could compensate that! So, seeing them again after one year was a real blessing for me! Kids at NOLA airport 2008 It was a dream come true!  I thank God! This was taken in 2008. Kids are now 10 and 6.. Time flies!
