My Daily Thing.
At around 6: 15, I’ll wake up. I’ll look for my iphone without phone service anymore; turn on the WIFI, and check my Facebook notifications. I’ll do some browsing and then I’ll turn it off.
I’ll step out of the bed, wake the kids up and then I’ll make some oatmeal for breakfast.
At this time, I’ll be rushing kids to wake up already, it will take a number of promptings for them to do what they were supposed to do, esp, my eldest.
My youngest, he’s ok, he’ll just ask his dad to put him out of bed to the living room and the he’ll wait for his oatmeal and he’ll be good.
We’ll all go to the car at around 7:35; then we’ll start our prayers- kids will say their prayers too, one by one; we have prayer rotation as to who goes first.
My youngest will always say, God bless the trees, God bless the houses, God bless the sun, the moon, the cars..
My eldest will say, God help us do good in school, bless the sick people so they’ll get well…
A friend’s daughter will pray differently every time, she’ll pray about China, floods, bad people… then we all say AMEN!
I’ll turn on the radio, and will just ask them to sing as I turn to their school’s street. They’ll usually request to be dropped at the back of the school building. Then off they go.
I’ll now decide as to where to go: 1) office 2) HS 3) Mid school. I am not teaching anymore, so I have an option as to where to go; to date we are (the Sped Coordinator and I, his IEP Facilitator (IEP –Individualized Education Plan for Special Ed students)) handling three schools in the district. I mostly check of compliance, making sure teachers are doing their IEPs right; and hoping to catch their mistakes prior to them finalizing the IEP.
Wherever I decide to go, as soon as I sign in, I’ll open my computer, check my email, check my blogs, say good morning to my boss; check activities i.e, IEP meetings happening today /this week, check students who need testing (to help out teachers), check/edit teachers’ IEPs – all day computer!
