I mentioned in my post IMBALANCE how my family and I would travel and gallivant especially this time of the year.  There were “ants in my pants”! I really didn’t care if I had the money, my thinking was, “I always have more than enough money for what I want and need”, and so off we went!  This was not only during the “happy holidays” season, mind you. But every time we have school breaks: Thanksgiving break, Spring break, Summer break! I have the “I-am-RICH mentality!”, “God-will-provide mentality”, and “I-deserve-this mentality!”. It took me 4 years!!! (Well, at least I graduated Summa Cum Laude, this time, lol!) to learn my lesson! I now realize, since it’s 12:43 midnight here already, on my 9 th day, how hard it is to keep an "agreement". I promise myself I will do it  and this time, I will make my life work, by keeping it. I 've written in My 5,000 pesos story that my three main shallow reasons for leaving my job as a teacher were to be able to wear blazers, to work in an office and to earn more money.  But you know what? It wasn’t really earning more money that I desired (because back then I was always given a full teaching load, and on top of that an extra load!), but the freedom to see what was in store for me if I left the school setting.  My real thoughts were “I can do much more”.. “I need to find myself”..” I want my dreams achieved”.. “I want to see more of life”… “If I don’t leave right now, I wouldn’t be able to leave at all. ” … I had all the reasons to leave… and I did. For the last 2 days I have been engrossed in learning new stuffs! I’ve always considered myself as a lifelong learner, I just need to learn, learn and learn still. To not remain stagnant, to continuously challenge myself to reach new heights, explore new grounds and simply embrace change. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6:33 I am not sure about the beliefs you were brought up with, but when I was growing up, Mommy would always remind me to keep my goals to myself.  She said, not everyone will support you, not everyone will understand why you want what you want.  So, she tells me the best way is to let whatever your heart is telling you to do, or to happen in your life be between you and God first.   Then take a step towards it, do what needs to be done, and then you’ll see miracles happening. I believe this is the real secret. GOD . To seek Him first, His plans and His will for us.  ... and for sure, all our hopes, dreams and desires will be ours.  And so it is.   -day 5-

“Wake up!!! Time to wake up! Mang Terio is here already! You all need to wake up!!!” I remember Mommy shouting at us during our school years! Funny, but she did that every morning and we never seemed to learn and get tired of it (it has become a habit- after a while, we needed the "shout" to wake up! lol!). She’s our time element! Mommy would always tell us to do well in our studies, that education would be the only inheritance we would get from them – and that inheritance would never be taken away from us.  She’d always tell us that her father, our grandfather, would encourage her to just do her best.
